What a fantasticly busy day!

Started today off with dropping off Braden at school.

Immediately after, we buzzed over to Laura's place for MOMS Club Meet and Greet. Had a great time watching Isla play in the backyard with the other kids. We MOMS chatted and went over some important stuff, including the ReSeat event we are hosting at Matt Saxe Chevrolet on October 20. Was nice to hang out with some awesome moms!

After the meeting Isla and I met with Crystal (Kaylee and Max) to play and have lunch. Drove to Jordan to eat and play at McDonald's. Isla got stuck at the top... so I went in after her. I felt a ridiculous urge to shower following that adventure. Still had a great time chatting with a good friend! Got back home around 2 for naptime.

Braden walked home from school with some friends. It was exhausting in the heat (plus up hill).

Cleaned a bit and drove off to Lakeville to can some salsa with Joy (Larry and Katie). Isla had a blast playing with Katie and the neighbor girls with toys and the trampoline. Joy and I had a blast chatting and making salsa! Who'da thunk it could be so much fun and so easy?! I loved every minute of it!

Isla was pooped from all of the excitement!

Today was a day of great friends, food and conversation. I'm so glad I stay connected with so many great people!

Yes, We're Having a BOY!

Had our ultrasound today (19 weeks) and we're having a healthy baby boy, still due Christmas Day!!

We're still looking into names, and we're pretty sure on one... but we're keeping it a secret! ;-)

Had a good day for sales. Got two.

Went straight to Matt Saxe Chev for the meeting about Moms Club's "Reseat" event. Got the ok and the go ahead to plan something big and fun. Next step is to talk with MOMS about what businesses we want to participate and donate. Planning on one of the first Saturdays in October.

Picked up some taco dip, picked up Braden and Isla, and headed over to Ashleys.

Had a delicious lasagna and cookie bar dessert! Was so much fun catching up. Isla had so much fun playing with Aubrey.

Can't wait to do it again!

Pampering Always Cleanses the Soul

Great day. Started out by making a sale (one is better than none) and talking to my lil bro Bryan on the phone. Finalized dates for Mel's bachelorette weekend and made appts for pampering!

Got my hair trimmed and eyebrows waxed at Salon Bravo... Then walked 4 doors down for mani pedi at 7 Nails. Discovered today that there is a special kind of nail polish that doesn't chip. I was sold instantly. GEL... who'da thunk?!

Isla was a hoot, yet again, this eve. Braden, Isla and I headed over to Lowes to pick out paint for Braden's room. Got purple for the ceiling, light gray for the walls, and chalkboard paint for his 'chalk wall.'

Forgot the primer, luckily we realized this before we left Shakopee. Turned around and picked that up. Then home-bound we were!

Isla went down for bed with no problems. Shes getting used to her "talking" monitor. Lol... She doesn't even test us anymore.

Miss Rachel came by to watch a movie. Batman Begins was the flick.

I'm getting excited for Osaka and band/bowling on Friday! :-) Gonna be great!

Good Sales, Corn and Banana Bread

What a happy day! Made three sales in one day, all at full price!

Came home to a happy child and brother. ;-) And my very first paycheck!

Ate some yummy steak and corn on the cob that the Johnson's brought over.

Then made some banana bread before the bananas went bad. That definitely topped it off.

Isla was a little difficult at bedtime, but eventually went down after reading our books. She refused her diaper, so that may be a fun mess in the morning. :-/ Ha.

Re Aquainted

It was so nice to talk to my long-time friend Ashley A on the phone today. It's been far too long.

Chatting with her definitely helped make my day better! Can't wait for her yummy lasagna next Thursday!

My Big Fat Sales Career

I had a poop-stick day at work.

I don't know if I've blogged about it yet, but I am now working in sales. I love my job most of the time and definitely love the people I work with.

HOWEVER... I don't always love the people I deal with over the phone.

I know it is only my first week of selling and I shouldn't be so hard on myself, but today was one of those "mope" days.

I made a sale to a Doctor on Wednesday. Thursday was "get papers signed day" for this particular sale. It was impossible to get in touch with the doctor, then all of a sudden he had a "question" about something... but wouldn't actually talk to me. He had his secretary talk to me - no chance to answer his questions "voice to voice." After a full day of the run-around, I called again today at around 2 pm (Friday). Yet again, I had to speak to his secretary... And she says "Oh, the doctor said if you happen to call again to tell you that he is no longer interested."

BIG EFF YOU, dude. Thanks for wasting 3 days of my life.


Monday is a new day, a new project, and a new opportunity. I'm looking on the bright side of things - I will never have to talk to that ass hole EVER AGAIN. :-)
